Cymbalta has been the best medication for my panic attacks and depression. I have tried Paxil, Lexapro, Effexor, and Pristiq before Cymbalta, and had to stop them all for one reason or another. Cymbalta has the best mix of efficacy and tolerability for me. Each person is different. Do not listen to reviews like these; you must try the drugs for yourself. Just because one person has a bad experience does not mean you will as well. Everyone seems to love Lexapro, but it didn't work at all... View full comment

This drug gave me Post Trumatic Stress Disorder and a good 15 years of permanent memory loss. It should be banned from use on human's and animals. This drug literally ruined my life, I'm a virtual basket case. If a doctor or dentist ever wants to use this for any reason, REFUSE IT AT ALL COSTS!!! This drug is dangerous and never should have been approved by the FDA.

Effexor XR

I have been taking Effexor XR in combination with Lexapro for 5 years. Recently deciding to fast and cleanse I stopped taking both meds. Please do not stop abrubtly as I did. Follow the advice of your physician and wean off the meds. I experienced extreme withdrawls including sleeplessness, flash headaches, nausea, extreme sadness and suicidal thoughts. The doctor gave 14 days of Levaquin for sinus infection. After 3 my lowerback/hips, thighs, knees all hurt. Also every joint in my body hurts. I took 6 days of it and quit. It helped my sinus infection, but I can't hardly walk, especially if I have been sitting for a while. Also, I had a horrible taste while taking it.

i wish that the manufacturer would give some indication of the length of time we can expect to experience side efects so that in stopping the medication ,we werent throwing the baby out with the bathwater.we all accept that all meds have side effects, but the severity and duration of them is difficult to assessfor someone new to the drug thanks for a very useful and informative source of information

Dear Friends, I came across this website while doing a yahoo search on simvastatin. Am glad to know, am not alone. I am 42, i was prescribed to take simvastatin for blood pressure on 17 Dec along with other drugs clopidogrel and omeprazole after my ct scan for heart chest pain. My ct scan came clean.
