My depression has lifted significantly, but not enough to say I think this is a great med for me. I've gained 10 pounds, have frequent bad headaches and believe that my vision has deteriorated. I am much more irritable and intense. I had great success with Prozac for many years and then it just pooped out. Since then I have been on just about every depression med. It helped me eat better and I excercise more and feel a lot healthier by taking this medication. I am very satisfied with the performance of this medication and would recommend this to others. I was on Lipitor before and was not very satisfied with it so I have seem a large improvement with this medication.

Yaz seems to be popular due to advertisement and not because of the quality of life the pill provides. I've heard different reactions from different women, I seem to be the only one who experiences worsened periods and severe weigh gain. I gained 37 pounds within a year.

Abilify made my blood pressure so low that I would have blackouts when standing up Abilify affected my body's ability to regulate body temperature. I would feel sick and feverish. My body temperature would be increased. I think the effects on blood pressure (not just orthostatic hypotension) are understated when taking abilify. I felt that this medication could have been life threatening for me.

I've been on Pristiq since the end of March. The negatives..the nausea was a beast the first few weeks but not intolerable. I don't sleep as well at night but its not to the point of insommnia. The positive, I am much more even, not nearly as irritable, etc. Still have some anxiety but its also better. I have lost over 10 lbs. I have no desire for sweets (which I ate everyday) or alcohol (which I drank very little of anyway - maybe 1-2 drinks a month if that). My libido isn't there but it has... View full comment

I spent most of my life trying to hide or avoid my problems with agoraphobia and panic attacks. I've tried everything from psych to behavior modification to many other drugs. While I am not panic attack free taking this med has reduced the frequence and severity of attacks.
