It works effectively for me, but it doesn't seem any more effective than the over-the-counter Primatene inhaler. I purchased a Primatene inhaler after my prescription Albuterol inhaler ran out and have not since returned to have another prescription of Albuterol given. Primatene is more readily accessible, and a prescription is not needed from my doctor. It is great to use before or exercise. It also works once you are already out of breath. On the down side it can take 10 to 15 minutes to help you catch your breath. It makes you hyper and your heart beat faster.

Vyvanse is the only drug I've taken since I was diagnosed with ADD. I'm 47, so I can tell you it's not just for children. It really works, too. If anything, I have to be more careful with prioritizing my tasks, because with Vyvanse, it's easy to hyperfocus on whatever is in front of me. The drug lasts at least 8 hours.
