Starting on day 1, had bad metallic taste in mouth, nausea, and chest discomfort-indigestion all day long. Started taking probiotic on day 3, also began taking pills with a half-glass of milk instead of water, and sipping on gingerale/ nibbling saltine crackers during the day - symptoms much milder now except the metallic taste is still strong. Am just finishing day 5.

I started taking Chantix two weeks ago, the first week was fine, while I was smoking, when I quit smoking on the second week I thought that I might have an immunity to the meds because I was climbing the walls... like you do when you are having a nicotine fit, by the end of the second week I developed a skin rash with lesions varying in size from a pin point to a dime size. coming from a previous antiseptic puromylin tabs. this capsule of 200mg per day B D is radically different. It has taken the smell of the urine away and the consumption of a capsule to two big tablets makes a difference radically.

I have diabetes, treated with oral and insulin. Also treated for high trigycerides, high cholesterol, and bp. About 2 hours after taking the pill every morning I'm in a bad mood and it stays that way for most of the day. I have noticed that I am feeling more depressed and irritable... totally not me.
