I take Ibuprofen OTC for headaches, body aches, cold/flu, joint pain, etc. I usually take 400-600 mg and it is wonderful because it helps with pain and inflammation with NO side effects. When I had my wisdom teeth pulled out I preferred taking 800 mg ibuprofen over tylenol, darvocet, hydrocodone, and percocet. 80 pound weight gain, developed type 2 diabetes in early 2000's and have it permanently. no one paid attemtion to my weight gain or blood sugar increase as i was taking this. the main individual giving this to me even acknowledged to me at the time that he knew it caused weight gain amd a bad craving for sweets but still prescribed it anyway until it was too late on the diabetes. i've since lost all of the 80 pounds i gained while Using Zyprexa, it tool me some time to do it.

after 3 A1c tests that were getting worse and taking more and more Lantus, I quit it totally because when I upped the dose my blood pressure went up as well. I had pain in both hands having gained 15 pounds as well. After one week of quitting, my weight went down 8 pounds and I no longer have pain in my hands. I will never take that stuff again. My sugars have been down significantly, staying between 90 and 100 in the mornings without it....

I started Lutera in March 09 and I have had the worst most severe mood swings ever, no period still from coming off depo, breast tenderness, nausea, constant diarrhea, headaches, mild acne, weight gain. I starting to wonder if it's even worth continuing on this bc pill!

My thyroid lvls were low so doctor prescribed this to me 25 mg. once a day. I noticed a weight gain immediately, headaches, severe joint pain, my throat felt swollen or like a lump was in it and overall negative effects. I had a hysterectomy the same month the doctor prescribed this so I am unsure if its the levothyroid or effects of no hormones...maybe a little of both.
