The initial hair loss was much more than I expected - probably half my hair if I judged by the thickness of my ponytail and lasted longer than expected probably 9 months from the start of my taking it. I didn't notice it too much for the first 4-5 months but I was also taking prednisone then. After I stopped the prednisone about 6 months in with the Imuran the hair loss became pronounced. I have a lot of allergies and I tend to get a rash at least once a day. When it becomes so bad that I can't stop scratching, I take the Benadryl. It works well for me and it works very very fast. I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing I don’t like is that even the non-drowsy Benadryl makes me very sleepy. But the positives weigh out the negatives in this case.

I had taken Advil on occasion in the past and was taking it this time to reduce inflammation in my badly sprained ankle. I had a reaction to it.
