I started Loestrin 24 in May of 2010. In July I started having lower abdominal pain followed by upper right abdominal pain. After doing some research I found others had experienced gallbladder spasms. My doctor indicated that I was experiencing gallbladder spasms. I am very healthy and ended up having my appendix removed with no indication of infection b/c of the pain. Since discontinuing my medication three days ago, the symptoms are still there but have improved immensely.

Started 3 weeks ago. At first the side effects were hard to handle (hot /cold flashes, sweating, tiredness, cold hands). Now my body has adjusted to it and it has brought my blood pressure down and lessened my heart rate. It's important to wait it out 2 weeks because it took that long to start working. Taking 25 mg 2 x pd with hydrochlorithiazide. No other health issues!

My Doctor switched me over the Junel from Loestrin last month. I have been on an emotional rollercoaster, sometimes I'm confused and have no control over my thoughts. I'm relieved that I am not the only one. At times I feel like I'm not really here. I have been off of Junel for about a week and am noticing positive differences in my mood. Some days I feel better, other days I feel worse. I'm just waiting for the pill to completely be out of my system so I can be myself again.

I was prescribed this drug for Fibromyalgia pain. Yes, you feel less pain because you're High as a Kite! At first my husband thought it was funny that I spent my time giggling and walking into things. Obviously not good. This was on a very low dose of 50 mg / 2 x daily. I am very sensitive to this drug and it caused too many problems including memory, confusion, feeling dizzy and/or "high" plus my husband said there was a change in my personality - obviously not a good one.... I like NuvaRing because I don't have to worry about taking it daily, and the only side effect I really experience is an improved complexion. I don't like that it needs to be keep cool, so I always need to be somewhere cool or have access to a fridge.
