Beofre starting on qualaquin, I used to use Nivaquin which was very effective, but I think that at a certain point my body started eveloping resistance to the drug. So this is why I started with qualaquin, whose effects are noticeable from day 5 of the treatment. But it gives me this unecessary bitter taste in the mouth, so I have to take a tablespoon of honey after.It also has so many other side effects like generalized lethargy, appetite loss, etc. But I learned to deal with that.

Since stopping the medication Ive had horrendous side effects which have meant I've spent the last 3 days in bed and I'm still no better. I'm wondering how long these side effects will last. I stopped meds on Monday and have woken up I'll again today. I have sever hot and cold sweats, headache, muscle ache, nausea, general feeling of being unwell like I'm coming down with flu. Will I feel like this for much longer? It's debilitating.

There are so many different kinds of medications out there. You aren't just going to immediately find the right one for you. It's all about trial and error. Trust me, it's an agrivating process and I've wanted to give up many times (I started trying different meds about 7 months ago) I have confedence that I will find one right for me. I always mix turmeric powder in milk when I have fever to give me energy and soothe my nerves. It always helps me feel better. It doesn't bring down the fever, just helps me feel better.
