Since beginning Celexa, I have noticed a great improvement in anxiety levels and pre-menstrual agitation prior to menstruation. It seems that I have more patience overall feel more relaxed in tense situations. I noticed the changes within two weeks of taking the medication. I was originally prescribed lortab for fibromyalgia pain. I was prescribed Lortab 10, 4 times a day but quickly began abusing it. It seemed that the longer I took it, the more I had to take to obtain the same pain relief. I abused Lortab for 1 year and as a result became physically and physchologically addicted and finally sought help at a drug rehab treatment facility. This drug is effective for acute pain but I would not recommend for patients with long term chronic pain.

I was taking it to assist with weight loss and took it for about 45 days or more until I noticed the side effects of constipation (which I do not normally have) and gas. I have stopped taking it about 4 days ago, once I researched the side effects. I was trying to determine why I was having the abdominal problems. It is not painfull constipation but very infrequent. However my appetite was decreasing while taking the 5HTP. I am now trying to get it oujt of my system.

I am very happy with Lamictal as I have been able to come off of another mood stabiliser (which was causing unwanted side effects) .. it is much more effective for my condition ( Bi polar disorder) .. this medication does not affect my libido like other medication either... the only problem is that it is not a government subsidized medication as it is not recognised as a medication needed for bi polar disorder and so is very expensive... Sever rash sometimes occurs around the 9th day of treatment, it clears within 10 days following. Found it increased my total cholesterol mildly. Took 8 months on this drug to reach undetectable.
