I was prescribed Etizolam ,5 mg for my CBT sessions of Agoraphobia. As of now, the therapist and I are only working on the lower range of anxiety inducing situations (I was asked to rate anxiety situations). The medicine has helped in the sense I am able to face these situations and some of the physical symptoms (legs shaking etc) have disappeared. I had Graves Disease about 8 years ago,took docs a year to sort it out, had all the heart meds too. Then it was sorted out. Since then i have had Hyperthroidism about three times since - it just wont go away. Back on Carbims again. On 5 mg three times a day now have been retested and its hardly reduced it so have to up the dose to 4 tabs daily - doc said two am,two pm. I have been taking one Advil PM about an hour before bedtime for about 6 months since I have a lot of insomnia. It is just as effective now as it has ever been. I am just not sure about longterm use. I do not take other meds.

I use this drug for cold sores and it is very effective for shortening the duration of them. It also gets rid of the stinging involved with an outbreak. I have to take them at first tingle to shorten the duration. If it has already broken out then it is less effective.
