I'm 31 and have had nephrotic syndrome with flares every 6 months since I was 2. Bone density test shows my bones are stronger than most healthy people, but I drink a lot of milk. When I'm on Prednisone I cut salt out of my diet as much as possible (there's a lot of salt in milk) knowing that the more I eat, the more I will swell. I was given Ceftin to treat a possible sinus/ear infection. I developed antibiotic-associated colitis after taking it. While I took the Ceftin, however, there were no side effects to speak of.

I have only just realised how many problems, I had in the last 2 years, were side effects from taking Simvastatin. I may be one of a small minority but if your medical checkups are only once a year and you haven't been appraised of the potential side effects then you suffer unnecessarily. When the doctor who prescribes the drug for you is not astute, or enlightened, enough to pick up your problems as side effects then this just compounds the problems.
