I believe the drug works well, it just makes me sleepy and when i wake up i feel a hundred times better. I am a person who doesnt take any type of drug for headaches or pains. So when i am congested/ have cold/flui usually use robitussin or nyquil to make the symptoms go away.

Your situation appears similar to mine. I had been taking Avapro (AKA Irbesartan) 150mg 2x daily which was doing the job. Then my drug insurer refused to cover it. Losartan was suggested as an alternative so I began that. I was on 50mg 2x daily which seemed to work; that was in 2012. I moved to a new state in 2012 and changed doctors. I think the prednisone made me feel worse and once I stopped taking it all the aforementioned negative symptoms disappeared.
