I woke up on vacation and couldnt sheep due to congestion. I had symptoms of a possible heart attack. I think it was heartburn/chest pressure and tingling in mt hand and lower arm. I am only 38 so I thought this was odd and did not wake my husband up to take me to the hospital. I was so scaredand have had symptoms for days! Have been taking Topamax for about 5 years for migraines. At one point I was up to 300 mg/day but am now down to 200 mg/day. This medication has been challenging at times. I have experienced all the typical side effects to varying degrees. The most challenging side effect for me is the speech aphasia that I experience. I was skeptical when doctor said there was a connection between my acid reflux and my sinus headaches but controling the reflux has almost eliminated the headaches. It isn't 100% but it is a vast improvement
