I have tried levothyroxine, synthroid, armour and now tirosint. I get the same reaction with all of them. About twelve hrs after taking it, I start to feel nauseous and extremely gassy. I have hashimoto's and had a total thyroidectomy three weeks ago.

Developed Parkinson's after 4 yrs of Lipitor therapy for "primary prevention". No fly Hx of neurodegenerative ds; no fly hx of cardiovascular ds. Just mildly elevated TC. Am aware of others who feel Parkinson's due to lipitor, and 2 who feel ALS due to lipitor. Effective when taken but symptoms persisted after stopping treatment. Do not like how you must continue to take the medicine seemingly indefinitely.

I started taking Zocor (simvastatin) for high cholesterol and it has lowered my cholesterol without making any other lifestyle changes (diet or exercise). It has worked consistantly for 10 years and the generic is nice because it was cheap
