I liked this medication, as long as I took it as indicated. The time when I had the worst experience is when I combined this medication with Lortab. Needless to say, that was stupid, and caused me to kind of freak out.

SUDDENLY STARTED EXPERIENCING STOMACH PAIN AND CHEST PAIN/PALPITATIONS - THOUGHT IT MAY HAVE BEEN TO DO WITH THE MENOPAUSE, AS I BLAME EVERYTHING ON THE MENOPAUSE, BUT THEN REALISED THAT I ONLY STARTED HAVING THESE SYMPTOMS SINCE TAKING CENTRUM MULTI VITAMINS. It's a good feeling to know that my blood pressure is now under control and if the worse thing about my having to take the medicine is having to take one everyday, that's a minor inconvenience and worth it to keep myself healthy.

At first the drug didn't work. However when I started taking it regularly, same time everyday, it worked. My doctor told me to not drink anything 1 hour before I took it or 8 hours after I took it. That was a major pain and sometimes I found myself dehydrated.

Elavil seems to get me out of my mood swings. I fell like my life is more in control and I have more confidence. I am able to do the daily chores and am able to concentrate better at work. It did give me mild headaces before, at he beginning, but in couple of weeks I got used to this drug. I am very dependent on it because if I skip a dose, I get moody and irritated.

The results of the treatment have been outstanding! Although in the past few days side effects have appeared...Allergic Reaction. However, I am in contact with my medical doctor and hope to have a decision as to how to proceed.

I take 2g per day for pseudotumor cerebri, so I know that is a lot. Diamox has helped my high pressure headaches and helped keep most of the PTC symptoms at bay, however, it does have some issues of its own. Before I began taking a potassium supplement, my energy level was greatly decreased, my blood pressure was EXTREMELY low (about 86/50) on a regular basis and I would experience leg cramps as well as stabbing pains in both my feet and my hands.
