I should have read up on all the potential side effects but I was unsure which medicine I would get due to my insurance. I'm taking Quasense because I have servere PMS for 3 wks including during my cycle, so bad I can barely function due to the emotional/anxiety/fatigue issues so my doctor thought this would help so at least I only get the symptons every few months. I have been taking this BC for the last 3 yrs. Just recently it has made me severely depressed, decreased my sex drive, among other things. I am now do depressed that I have been placed on pills

I am very happy with Lamictal as I have been able to come off of another mood stabiliser (which was causing unwanted side effects) .. it is much more effective for my condition ( Bi polar disorder) .. this medication does not affect my libido like other medication either... the only problem is that it is not a government subsidized medication as it is not recognised as a medication needed for bi polar disorder and so is very expensive... I take vitamin C to improve my immune health. Overall, I think it works but can't really prove it because I never had frequent cold symptoms to begin with. I figure a pill a day can't hurt.

Esipram (Lexapro) saved my life. I had suffered major chronic disorder for 18 years and no other anti-depressants helped. Some (Prozac) made it worse. I was taking tranquilizers every night and seeing a psychiatrist at least weekly. The anxiety attacks were horrendous and nothing helped. I still cannot believe the difference Esipram made. My anxiety has simply vanished. Virtually no side effects. I was able to stop all tranquilizers and I now see the shrink every 6 months instead of weekly.... View full comment
