If you are in severe pain, I really didn't feel any effects. After surgery and a good bit of pain was removed, I found out that tizanidine is rather powerful. I usually take a small amount, 2mg per day, until my pain rises, then I take as needed up to maximum dose. I know when to drop the dosage when I feel like par-boiled chicken and my muscles feel like they're going to fall off my bones. That is one strange feeling. The first 2 months were hell. It felt like every thought had to be pulled through a vat of mollasses to be had. I didn't sleep more than 2 hours in a row, couldn't remember the simplest figures and had to drop 2 classes at school. anytime i generally get a headache I use advil, and it seems to work pretty well. No problems with any kind of sideaffect, I dont use it often just when severe headache.

Celebrex worked amazingly. I was completely pain free while taking it. The only negative side effect I experienced was waking up with swollen hands every morning. The swelling would last approx. 1 1/2 hours. But it was painful and I could not bend my fingers. Unfortunately, I had to stop taking Celebrex due to a sensitivity to Sulpha drugs which gives me hives.
