Your situation appears similar to mine. I had been taking Avapro (AKA Irbesartan) 150mg 2x daily which was doing the job. Then my drug insurer refused to cover it. Losartan was suggested as an alternative so I began that. I was on 50mg 2x daily which seemed to work; that was in 2012. I moved to a new state in 2012 and changed doctors. Started out great on this, but after the first year side effects have worsened. I can barely stay awak and feel like a walking zombie during active days. I am usually easy going, but have become very moody on this. I am switching as soon as my dr. gives the go ahead.
