This drug also works as an 'antispasmodic' (slows digestion) making it a godsend for those of us who have had Ulcerative Colitis, Chrones Disease, IBS, Colon Cancer, etc. -related surgeries. After having my large intestine/colon removed, this drug has given me the opportunity to enjoy life and not always be looking for the restroom...let alone go camping, etc. Also 'quiets' the gurgling noises. I have been off of this birth control for about 4 months. A couple of weeks ago I noticed my hair on the top/front of my head begin to thin. Recently it has become very thin. In certain lights you can clearly see my scalp. After reading quite a few articles on the internet I am starting to think my discontinuation of Ortho Tri Cyclen could be the reason. I have become extremely depressed over my thinning hair. I am afraid it will continue to get worse until I am entirely bald!

Retin A completely dried out my skin to the point where I didn't even want to use it. The skin around my eyes was dry and red and it hurt to even blink. I was only prescribed to use it every other day and i could only use it two or three times a week because my face would hurt so bad. I got red, peeling, and the dry skin. Nothing helped. I stayed on it to see if anything would get better (since i was told it would go from worse to better) and nothing happened. I wasn't happy with this.
