What was interesting about the drug was how dry it made my skin. My lips were so dry, chapped and red. They always peeled, and my skin seemed so much more dry. Accutane has cured any previous acne I had on my chest and back. From time to time I get a pimple or two, but this is recent. A year after accutane, I was still getting nasty breakouts.

I have recently removed the ring after a few months because of the increased pain and discomfort in my chest. Such soreness that woke me up in the middle of the night if I rolled over on my chest. My doctor put me on Nuva Ring to regulate my cycle and decrease the Ovarian Cysts. I experience very difficult periods that are extremely painful... However, I am prepared to deal with that if it means that this very painful discomfort ceases.

Vaginal thrush was very severe itchy and painful, and i used yogurt for a couple of days, the only relief i got was the cooling effect of the yogurt however it did not do anything for the thrush infection (it seemed to make it worse or not better at all) and therefore had to use gyno-daktarin instead.

Plan B is a great emergency contraceptive. It is accessible and relatively effective. However, it is pricey at 50 bucks and caused some hormonal imbalances that affected me emotionally as well as causing irregularity in my menstrual cycle.

I used Mononessa for about 3-4 months. I started back in late February and ended in June. Over that time, I had very intense mood swings and many crying episodes. I usually am a very positive person and I could not get into a good mental place. I was also vomiting much more often and I experienced several intense headaches and multiple mild ones in a month. It's made me more moody, more depressive, breasts are way more tender (like, they hurt every single day), bloating has gotten worse, and I've become more self-conscious and snappy at people. But it does regulate my cycle like I needed something to.
