I agree with Eammon that when I first started Amisulpride it was like a dream, but as I continued to take it my side effects have increased at an alarming rate. I sleep less than 7 hours each night, I am restless, agitated, have high blood pressure, frequently urinate during the night, unable to concentrate, poor memory, more manic, etc. I was on olanzapine , which was making me too drowsy and the weight gain was worse. I do seem to have suffered from more side effects this episode but I was having to take the drops half hourly for a week and then hourly each day and night for 2 weeks before weaning down to 3 times a day now.

The Ultram caused slight dizziness in the beginning which stopped after taking it for a while. It caused really significant memory problems initially. Now, when taking the medication, I mix my words up sometimes; but I do not feel confused. I can pretty much function normally. But I would use this drug cautiously in the elderly!
