I saw it at Wal-mart and thought I would try it because prescription meds (acyclovair, Valtrex) really bother my stomach. I chewed 3 Herplex after a blister started in the corner of my mouth (those are the worst) and 3 more that evening and it was history the next day. I have used the bottle I had and can't find it anywhere in 2 states and online. This is the best product I have ever used on cold sores!!!! Can it still be purchased somewhere?

I started out with 4 tabs a day but that was way too much. Doctor's PA told me to take 2 a day which was an improvement but side effects, although lessened, continued. I experienced restlessness, tongue sucking, mouth pursing, jaw clenching, rash on face, throat tightness with muscle spasm. I learned that these side effects over time can be life long. I love that they now have a generic drug for Keppra. Side affects kind of disappointing but would prefer the hair & calcium loss to seizures!!
