I am taking Proscar (finasteride) in its non-prescribed use as a hair loss drug. After taking it for 6 months, I have seen an effective stop to my hair loss, and an increase in the density of my hair in the front. New vellous (small/white) hairs are popping up around my scalp, and some of them continue to darken. Starting on day 1, had bad metallic taste in mouth, nausea, and chest discomfort-indigestion all day long. Started taking probiotic on day 3, also began taking pills with a half-glass of milk instead of water, and sipping on gingerale/ nibbling saltine crackers during the day - symptoms much milder now except the metallic taste is still strong. Am just finishing day 5.

I have been on 150mg's for around 8weeks.My sleep did improve greatly,so I felt much better due to this. My depression did improve alot,and I felt able to cope.The side effects that were trouble -some were severe constipation,and very dry,sore throat & mouth mostly during the night/day. I have come off them now because my sleep /depression are starting to get sadly worse.

Tylenol has been a great drug that has benefitted me with my headaches, cramps and any pains I experience. It has also helped me to reduce my fevers and colds. I think it is a better choice of drug compared to Aspirin due to the more negative affects of advil. The active ingredient in Tylenol, paracetomal is the reason to its safe impact.
