I've been taking this medication for almost 2 years now. It is absolutely great in controlling my acne and I haven't seen improvements like this with anything else. It is extremely effective and works almost immediately. I wouldn't know what to do without it. Apart from the dry lips and skin, and frequent thirst, the medicine does induce depression in me, to the extent of people asking if something is wrong. Medication didn't digest well and as a result was lodged in my esophagus. This caused the lining of my esophagus to burn away and I was unable to eat or drink effectively for approximately 7 days. In addition, it caused me to be hospitalized and caused a great deal of pain.

I have been taking Fosamax for 4 years. The side effects have gotten worse the last two. I do have an irregular heart beat (Supra VT) that has also gotten worse. My last bone density test shows the results to be very minimal if at all.
