after 3 surgeries due to a ruptured disc which didn't work, including the installation of neurostimulator, I had been put on about evry possible pain med. I disliked the side effects of Oxycontin,Vicodin and Percocet and thought I was screwed but after moving and going to a new Dr. who put me on Opana ER I was finally able to find relief and cut down on the number of pills I had to take avery day as well as eliminating the Tylenol which is bad for your liver. I have been taking one Advil PM about an hour before bedtime for about 6 months since I have a lot of insomnia. It is just as effective now as it has ever been. I am just not sure about longterm use. I do not take other meds.
