I was on Junel for a 2 or 3 years. I absolutely loved it. I went through a year and a half of hit and misses with many different types of birth controls. I did not gain weight, I actually lost a lot of weight and maintained a great weight or have depression. Benzamycin contains benzoyl peroxide so it is quite effective in treating acne. However, the longer I used it, the dryer my skin became. I even used moisturizers and went down from two applications a day to just one. Eventually, I just had to stop taking it. Also, it does not settle on the skin well and all throughout the day I could see the benzamycin on my face even underneath makeup.

Started taking OrthoCept to control my ovarian cysts...Worked Great...cysts were gone...premen. symptoms were gone..lite flows...However, I had horrible migraines during the placebo pills from withdrawl...and discovered ...after stopping the pill that all the Heart palpatatons I was having was related to taking the pill.....Now Im in a Rut and cant find any bc to take that doesn't give me migraines...and needless to say..my cysts are back... :(
