I have been using Depo-Provera for about 5 years, and the experience for me has had pros and cons. While growing up I had very painful periods, and one year when I went in for an annual checkup the doctor had discovered a cyst on my ovary. Claritin makes me drowsy so badly that I have to stop doing my work and go to sleep. Day after I take the medication, I have headaches and feel dizzy. I also get nose bleeds but they are not severe enough to go to the hospital.

M/W/A 57yrs 6'+ 235lbs, was put on Simcor Sept 2010, due for first CBC since medication started next week. My triglycerides were through the roof, 500+, LDL was only 179, but HDL was in the basement, so DR put me on 1000-20 Simcor. He warned me of the "flushing" as he put it, and wanted me to take it at bedtime to limit this side effect. I usually only have to take Zyrtec during the spring. It is really effective and my allergy symptoms are relieved. Since it makes me drowsy, I take it right after dinner and before I go to bed. However, I become abnormally drowsy and have a really hard time waking up in the mornings.
