I have been using Gymnema as part of a herbal tablet (along with chromium, B12, Glucomannan, etc) for a few months and took it twice per day. It gave me better numbers but not as good as I would like, and some consistency in my readings. Recently I changed to a capsule - hard as heck to swallow - that is a higher dosage. I've been on Effexor XR for over 4 years now. I have recently added Lithium to boost the Effexor XR and it is working well. Effexor XR has got side effects like all medication but it works for me. With Lithium added I should be able to lower the dose of the Effexor. I was on 375mg a day for major depression and the headaches were too strong so I dropped back to 300mg which is better. I'm taking the highest dosage for the solus pen once a day and have not noticed any change in blood sugar. Had to get off metformin because of digestion problems which are somewhat better now, but still persistent at times. I'm going to see if doctor will change everything next office visit.
