See my mother's Alz experience above. She got into trouble with only 3/4 of a .5 mg tab a day. When I insisted Mom be sedated for invasive procedures at a hospital ER room, they figured they'd give her a full day's allowed dose at once, so that would be 1.5 mg. That put her in LaLa land allright. I was grateful they used it on this occasion. Overuse of this drug could have stopped her breathing. 22 mg in one day. Good grief. I started taking mircette and then I switched to generic because it was pretty expensive for a birth control each month. After I switched I lost 10lbs, but I had cramps and a heavier period, so I switched back to regular mircette. It has been 2 months now and I have gained back the 10lbs and I'm always hungry even on my ADHD medicine. Seems like good stuff- very mild and more effective then Saw Palmetto and other herbal options. Not sure about long term effects. I don't have prostate cancer or enlargement, but makes sense to use this as a prophylactic for 90 days just to be sure. Seems to work on both subtile and grosser levels.

No longer taking copaxone, as was not effective at all for me. Did like it much better than the interferons, no flu like side effects. MS progressed rapidly while taking it. Did have the immediate post injection reaction once, which is not an allergic reaction. Was scary, but still continued with this therapy. Found out after all the attacks and MRI's that the daily shot was a waste of time and money.

Did you see a doc about the hair loss? When I asked my GYN about it, she said it wasn't related to the Lybrel because my hormones were "the most stable they've ever been". But now I'm seeing on line that other people have experienced this - I've lost a substantial part of my eyebrows and my scalp hair is thinning. I'm beginning to think I'd rather have periods!

I find the lorazepam relaxes me when I feel that life is out of my control and restores my respespective regarding the situatuion that caused me the stress. It helps me sleep when things will not leave my head alone but goes around and around in my head.
