Herplex was the best. I get cold sores when under stress or with a fever. If I felt the tingle and took a couple for a day or two they would dry up immediately. Why oh why did they take it off the market.

I use aspirin for my menstrual pain. My period is the worst period of the month, because it is extremely painful. But to deal with that, I use aspirin which is not bad. It relieves the pain at 80%, and since I have been using it, I can handle my period better, because it use to be so painful that I won't even go to school at all.

I have been taking Avonex for about 15 years. I credit Avonex for my ability to keep walking and to continue living a fairly normal life, with a family and a 20-hour job. I think I would be in a wheelchair if I never took Avonex. The best form of birth control medication I have ever tried. The only thing that I don't like is having to remember to take it everyday. I tried Nuva Ring for a few months, but I had an allergic reaction. I switched back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen lo, and it has been great ever since. My cramps hardly exist, my periods are short with a very light flow, and my mood swings are under control.

I am glad that I finally found something to regulate my periods and cramps. Everything else wasn't strong enough, and I ended up having breakthrough bleeding and a period every other week.

I've taken other statin drugs for many years and slowly drifted into the severe side affects w/o knowing it. I lived through the side affects, thinking it was an age thing.
