Started taking Topamax on vacation to gradually get up to full dose. Went very slowly--got to full dosage at about 4 weeks. I lost weight, but tried to stick with it because the migraines were so bad, but it only reduced them a little bit. At around the 4-5 week mark I was sitting in my living room feeling semi-suicidal and decided I should read the fine print on the side effects. I was really against taking this drug to begin with. I've tried to keep a positive HOPE that this would help me. I have worse symptoms and can't differentiate what is symptomatic of the disease or the drug. The endocrine system is so complex and effects many other body systems. Claritin-D 24hr worked great for my allergies. I took is for years, then started to have heart problems. The culprit Claritin-D. I still continue to have heart problems after being taken off the medication, it caused damage to my heart that willNEVER go away . I'm a 26yr old female who's life will forever be changed for the worse because of this. Please keep an eye on your blood pressure and heart rate while taking Claritin-D
