I have struggled with frequent bouts of insomnia since high schools. I've tried almost every prescription sleep aid on the market with less than positive results. They often left me feeling exhausted, had vivid, violent dreams, and overslept numerous times. Melatonin has been a life-saver. I take the 5 mg pill a half hour before bed and I sleep pretty well; almost the whole night through.

I developed Menier's in my early sixties. It took a while to control so that my specialist put me on increasing amounts of Betahistine. At six to eight a day it was mostly controlled although I had break- out episodes that put me in hospital overnight. I was also prescribed medication to control fluid , in my head, I guess. When taking Benadryl, my allergy symptoms disappear but i often experience extreme dizziness and vertigo. I am continuously fatigued and can never get a good nights rest no matter how tired i am.
