I'm 33 this year and have been using Mirena for 4 years 8 months after having my 2nd child. The insertion was a bit painful and I felt cramps after that, but it didn't last long and was bearable. Very pleased with the med. I fought depression for many years and took Prozac which help considerably. I began to develop dysphoria. I should have read up on all the potential side effects but I was unsure which medicine I would get due to my insurance. I'm taking Quasense because I have servere PMS for 3 wks including during my cycle, so bad I can barely function due to the emotional/anxiety/fatigue issues so my doctor thought this would help so at least I only get the symptons every few months.
