I haven't been taking Yaz for too long but it has so far been effective. The only side effect that I've experienced is a change in my sex drive but I guess that's inevitable. I am very satisfied with this medication.

I noticed some initial weight loss, but have not seen the promised (or out of the ordinary) weight loss. Slight increased energy levels, but nothing great. Don't yet think that I would recommend it for anything but antioxidants.

I have been on lipitor since Dec. 2008 and I was having pain in my legs. I told my Doctor in March 2009 the last time and he reassured me that it was unlikely to be lipitor. I continued to take it until April 26, 2009. Days before the pain had gotten so bad that I couldn't sleep, stand ,walk or sit. When I was still I had a dull throbbing pain in my muscles. Esipram (Lexapro) saved my life. I had suffered major chronic disorder for 18 years and no other anti-depressants helped. Some (Prozac) made it worse. I was taking tranquilizers every night and seeing a psychiatrist at least weekly. The anxiety attacks were horrendous and nothing helped. I still cannot believe the difference Esipram made. My anxiety has simply vanished. Virtually no side effects. I was able to stop all tranquilizers and I now see the shrink every 6 months instead of weekly.... View full comment
