Around the time I started taking Daytrana, I noticed that I was sweating more often. I took Daytrana for about 2 years. I went to my doctors and none of them could figure out why I was all of a sudden sweating so much. When my psychiatrist decided to take me off of the Daytrana, I stopped sweating. My mother, age 85, was taking Prednisone for pulmonary fibrosis and it caused congestive heart failure and she died about 3 wks after she started taking it. It also had a host of other unpleasant side effects, but death trumped those. It made her irritable, prone to emotional outbursts, skin breaking open and oozing, and more. Gordon Caldwell Fund

I have had the Mirena for well over 6 or 7 years (I'm on my second one). During this time, my acne has been difficult to control - especially on my back and chest. I have also been experiencing some problems with finding the right words and thinking straight, though I suppose this could be a sign of getting older. But I'm only 36, so I'm not that old! i enjoyed the effects of ritalin, however the effects of the drug started very quickly and ended abruptly. i had a lot of mood swings during this time as well and no appetite. i also gained weight while on this medication as when i took it i had no appetite, and when i was off of the medication I overcompensated.
