My mother was prescribed Actonel by a visiting locum within 48 hours she experienced a tingling sensation all over her body, followed by horrific pain in all her joints which has continued for another 3 weeks and is ongoing. She is also experiencing night sweats, often having to change her pyjamas twice during the night. She is 72, has diabetes and hypertension. I've consumed pomegranates not so much as for prescribed health reasons, but for a healthy diet. Although I have not seen any negative side effects as a result of consuming pomegranates, I have not seen any benefits either.

Two things I noticed that in my mind were directly linked to the medication: My breast cysts began to shrink so fast I could feel them doing so, and I had excruciating leg pain, especially upon going to bed at night. I had to stop taking it. Leg pains went away.
