This drug makes me sleepy, drowsy and tired, right after I take it. And I usually take it after breakfast. I was taking one tablet before, and I went to the doctor to told him about the side effects of the drug. He advised me to rest for about 10-15 minutes after breakfast. If I don't have atleast 10 hour sleep at night after taking Minipress XL 2.5 mg, then I don't get strength on my feet to move around coupled with slight head imbalance making the total feeling uncomfortable. I went off this drug this morning and am looking forward to not bleeding for a month straight at a time (I think of the 3 ½ months i've been on it, i've bled for 2 ½ - 3 months). I certainly won't miss severe mood swings (or crying jags). I have't gained weight - but i've had a tough time loosing it. I wonder how long it will take for my system to get back to "normal".
