I use this drug for cold sores and it is very effective for shortening the duration of them. It also gets rid of the stinging involved with an outbreak. I have to take them at first tingle to shorten the duration. If it has already broken out then it is less effective.

I started Loestrin 24 in May of 2010. In July I started having lower abdominal pain followed by upper right abdominal pain. After doing some research I found others had experienced gallbladder spasms. My doctor indicated that I was experiencing gallbladder spasms. I am very healthy and ended up having my appendix removed with no indication of infection b/c of the pain. Since discontinuing my medication three days ago, the symptoms are still there but have improved immensely.

My doc and I are still trying to work out the right dose to combat the sleepiness that my antidepressants cause (I've tried many - all make me sleepy). On 75mg, I can get through the day but am exhausted at night when it wears off. On 150mg, I feel fantastic - have tons of energy, am happier, a little less hungry (which is great considering the weight gain that's happened with trying so many antidepressants), but I lay awake at night for hours. I know it's been a short time sense I've been taking Yaz. 2 weeks actually, but ever sense day one i've been tired, irratable and having EXTREME headachs. I've been bleeding heavy for 14 days now also the cramping has gotten WAY worse. I was put onto this pill to help with crapming and to make my cycle shorter and lighter, its done the complete opposite.
