The main thing I did not like about Lyrica is that it really affected my memory which is horrible in the working world. It also left me tired, sort of hungover most of the time. I feel the side effects far outweight the benefits of Lyrica for me. I recently stopped taking it and I can focus so much better now.

This is a horrible drug that caused all kinds of side effects and made me miserable for the last 2 years. Started taking it due to gastritis from NSAIDS. Tried Pepcid first but got acid breakthrough after 1 month. Tried 10 mg capsules of Omeprazole, but they had a nasty aftertaste. Bumped up to 20 mg, then 40 mg. Constant bloating and abdominal pains. I took Xyzal back on April 20th and April 21 only to find myself in the hospital. I only took 2 5mg tablets and had 5 days of hallcinations. My 2 sisters took me to the ER where they said it was a reaction to the medication. It was like being on drugs. Lamotrigine has stopped me from getting auras due to complex partial epilepsy, however, when I was at a high dose I would get heart palpitations every day very severely. My doctor lowered my dosage and the palpitations stopped. Also, I skipped a dose one day and had an aura that day, so don't skip any doses.
