Once I started on the Lexapro my suicidal thoughts and feelings of hopelessness were no longer an issue. I loved being able to sleep at nights again. I have had great results with hardly any side effects. The cost is very expensive so I tried other meds hoping to get the same results but other meds were not as successful; prozac did nothing for me...still weepy and depressed. I've ttried several pills over the past couple of years due the awful cramps I get before my period and none of them worked for me. One, I'm a highschool student, so my schedule is kind of all over the place, making it hard for me to take the pill a the same time every day, or remember. So far, it's been a pretty effective acne medication gel. I use it as needed-whenever I get pimples. It helps dry up acne spots and clears the skin pretty quickly. Only con is that it drys out the skin , so I have to make sure to use moisturizer.

Glad I read your comment. I go for my first (3 month) cholesterol blood test to see if the Lipitor is working. I think I'll ask my Dr. to ask for a glucose test also, just to be on the safe side. Thanks!

Severe hypertension from childhood. Medicated since 1963. Anaphalactic shock due to medication in 1996 resulted in medication change to Micardis HCT. Five years ago, dosage reduced by half due to excellent control. Now 77 years old, very healthy, active, walk 4 miles per day in 70 minutes. Least amount of side effects of any medication I have taken in 47 years.
