I have horrible sneezing fits that I attribute to allergies. Sometimes up to 10 sneezes in a row. While using Zyrtec the sneezes have subsided slightly but not gone away. After a couple of hours my head returns to a stuffy state and I have to take medication again.

It needs to be addressed that this drug can help you and hurt you all at the same time...god forbid you try to get off this drug...its extremely hard...I never ever had cravings to drink..and this stuff made me want to drink like you'd want a chocolate bar or coffee and you know I had to give in..now i'm fighting coming off this drug and the desire for alcohol...neither of which are fun...I have been sober for 6 weeks now...and I can only imagine what this drug has done to my already damaged... I will usually take green tea when I feel like I am getting a cold, or if I have a cold, and it usually makes me feel better. From experience, I would recommend having it on an empty stomach, because it makes me nauseous.

I was pissed when my insurance company pretty much forced me to buy the generic (a 3 month supply of ortho lo is $115 vs.$10 for the generic). Being a student, I can no longer afford the name brand BC I trust! HOWEVER, since being on tri-sprintec lo, I have not had ANY side effects. It's just like being on Ortho tri cyclen lo - minus the cool click pack. It's only been one month so far, but, so far, so good. My advice: try it, it just may not be the end of the world! I took Yasmin thinking it would give me almost identical benefits as Yaz, and Yasmin is available generic (whereas Yaz is not). However, within a month of taking this oral contraceptive my physicial and emotional state got much worse. My appetite was out of control, I ruminated over everything, etc.
