I was fine at 500 mg/day. When my doctor increased me to 1000 mg/day I developed severe abdominal pain and vomiting, requiring hospitalization, after 4 days of use.

I shared my experience regarding Junel FE because it was what I went through when taking this birth control. Everyone's reaction is going to be different because no two people are the same. I do have a child, plus I had my Gallbladder removed 5 months after my c-section. In addition, I had a complicated pregnancy, the ob/gyn who I normally see was busy and I ended up with one of his assistant's who was not my scheduled ob/gyn and did not know medical history nor seemed concerned when being in... AWESOME STUFF. Currently I use as a drug of choice in almost every sickness (head, cold, flu, etc.). Seems that Tylenol has a positive effect on immunity system. It gives it strength to fight the bugs. Oher drugs don't seem to have as much effect as tylenol does. I am not sure if it is some kind of ingredient combination that works well with my body or if it just a good and effective drug. Either way it tremendously help me when I am sick.

I know a lot of people have been experiencing side effects from this, but I have had no problems from the shots whatsoever. I'm going to get my last dose in December. I don't like shots, but for me, that's the worst part of the experience. I want to prevent HPV and have not had any problems with some of the extreme side effects others are claiming.

Honestly, this medication did not really work for me. I had to switch to a more effective one, and I just don't remember the name of that one. But chloramphenicol was just useless, and with so many side effects, I used to wonder whether or not it was not worsening the symptoms of my typhoid fever.
