It sucks! This drug did a great job helping my depression, but at a huge cost to my health. I've been suffering severe nausea, vomiting, super-sensitivity to smells and dizziness. I take gravol to stave off the nausea - but gravol makes me so tired! At the end of the day I was a prisoner in my own home because I refuse to drive if I'm dizzy & on gravol. My son was diagnosed as Bipolar but was mostly manic and rarely depressed. The doctors started him on Effexor which put him in such a high state of mania that he had to be hospitalized. Yet the doctors kept prescribing this poison. They counteracted it with Seroquel which made him sleep, and Lithium which made him shake so badly he could barely hold onto anything. I have never had acne before. I have only been on the pack for 2 months and have had severe acne. I have also have had moderate breast tenderness.

After 2 years it seemed like the Plaquenil was no longer working. My Rheumatologist switched me to Azathioprine but I had an allergic reaction to it. I am now back on Plaquenil and it seems to be working again along with Prednisone.
