Even at the highest recommended dose, it doesn't work a full 24 hours. It does cause extreme drowsiness about 30 minutes to an hour after taking, so I take mine at bedtime. It is also quite expensive if you don't have insurance.

i feel this way after almost one year (half that year was on the generic microgestin), and finally realized my feeling may be a side effect of junel. thought it was just me and didn't know how to control my mood. cryin right now actually :( i think i may skip tonight's pill and just stop birth control for good. the hormones are horrible for the environment anyways. i plan to start using condoms and natural family planning instead. ....or i may just try the ring bc it is supposedly much lower... nearly hospitalized due to adrenal failure prompted by no T4 conversion to T3. Brain function so diminished could no longer do job or cope with any kind o stress.

I have thinning neck discs causing pressure on a nerve and spinal cord and the pain in my arm was unbearable -I was crying at times with it. Lyrica at 600 mg a day (with Tramadol ) has allieviated this but I have had slight vision problems at some times and absolutely no Libido!
