Not sure, but I think it causes some paranoia sometimes, though I do not have any visual or auditory hallucinations, and have never been diagnosed with any mental issues. I find as the length of time increases for me being on Vicodin, I find myself sometimes suffering from frequent paranoia, even though I have not increase the dosage my doctor prescribed. When I first started this pill, I hated it. I was bleeding constantly and I had cramps and headaches. However, after about two months of use, I have short, light periods and little pms related symptoms. I did gain a little weight but i think it is starting to come off (I've been on Femcon for about 5 months now). I have tried other birth control pills before and they were not for me. Because I deal with chronic pain an antidepressant was initially prescribed to me about 9 years ago. Since that time I have also started menopause and I started getting more sensitive and weepy and mad at being sick so they changed my medication to Cymbalta and have since increased the dosage to twice what they initially prescribed. I notice a big difference with this drug and feel it has done the trick.
