I have taken this med for nearly 2 years now. It made me a little emotional (ok, crazy) the first month, and gave me cramps at first but after the first pack it all went away. I do occasionally get yeast infections but a couple of days taking probiotics will cure that. I recomend the probiotic Acidophilus, you can get it anywhere and it works great on yeast infections. It is a little expensive but its worth it to me to not have a period every month.

Elavil seems to get me out of my mood swings. I fell like my life is more in control and I have more confidence. I am able to do the daily chores and am able to concentrate better at work. It did give me mild headaces before, at he beginning, but in couple of weeks I got used to this drug. I am very dependent on it because if I skip a dose, I get moody and irritated.

I am a clinical-neuropsychologist.I had a touch of arthritis but of late, I am having swelling and pain in my knees and the leg gets stiff. This was prescribed to me in USA but now that I am in India, I need more information before I consult a physician here. I have been on Mirena since November of 2009 and I have never been so disappointed in my life. I am not a person that usually writes on these blogs and bashes products, because I believe that every person is different and reacts differently to medications! But OH MY GOSH! I've been taking Agomelatine for around 4 months now (50mg per day) in a UK based clinical trial. I had taken paroxetine for 12 months immediately prior to this so feel I can make a good comparison between the two. Firstly with Agomelatine i've not noticed any side effects whatsoever, its almost as if you arent taking medication at all, although in saying that it's not been very effective in reducing my depression and anxiety either, although it does help me sleep easier.
