Found out the other day that eating alot of greens will cancel out the effects of warfarin (anything with high Vitamin K like spinach)- just thought I'd pass that along!

im 50 and been a musician and janitor all life . 2 years ago once in a while right arm problems . the last month very bad, i can not extend arm out over acoustic guitar without extreme pain in arm between shoulder and elbow . reaching behind in car or to get wallet to painfull to use right arm anymore so i use left . vacume left only . try to do most things lefty now . at night tough to sleep through . if flat, weight of arm makes shoulder ache . cant sleep on right side = bad arm . left some... Seemed to have a hard time focusing at work but did not relate it to the Meloxicam until I stopped taking it for a couple of weeks. I kept getting sinus problems. It only slightly improved the inflammation in my shoulder but it never went away.

I had pneumonia in July and about a week after I got better from that, my legs began to ache and swell. They've hurt and stayed swollen all this time. I've been seeing 3 doctors and none have been able to tell me why. I heard about this Levaquin thing today and called my doctor to see if that was one of the meds they'd given me as it sounded familiar. Sure enough. They prescribed Levaquin for me July 21, 2009. Started taking 10 milligrams and had a lot of strong symptoms, wasn't able to sleep at night, had an extremely dry mouth, and experienced constipation. It also caused a rapid heartbeat until a pacemaker was put in. Now doctors have reduced dosage to 1 milligram daily and side effects have decreased.

I did not want to take it initially because I'm used to over the counter remedies, but at the suggestion of my chiropractor, I decided to take it. I am pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of it. At the same time, I feel a bit relieved that I am not taking too many over the counter anti-inflammatories anymore. I'm not really interested in burning out my liver and/or kidneys!
