When I first started this pill, I hated it. I was bleeding constantly and I had cramps and headaches. However, after about two months of use, I have short, light periods and little pms related symptoms. I did gain a little weight but i think it is starting to come off (I've been on Femcon for about 5 months now). I have tried other birth control pills before and they were not for me. While Loestrin in an effective birth control method, for me and several friends of mine that have taken it have found that this pill makes you borderline insane. I was crying for no reason, angry for no reason.. Sometimes I would start to cry and not even I knew what was wrong with me.

Captopril lowers my blood pressure effectively with mild side effects. I would recommend any one with High blood pressure to take this drug as well as a diet change

I also had to switch from loestrin because of insurance and so far this pill has proved to be horrible. I have horrible migraines and stomach aches and my moods are incredibly up and down. I am extremely emotional and impatient and this is not like me at all! Also I've been very low energy and constantly feel like I need to sleep. This is month 3 and I'm calling it quits..

I changed to Lyrica because I heard it was very effective for pain management & it is, but the side effects of weight gain & blurred vision are not worth it to me. I am planning to talk to my Doctor about switching. There are other side effects I could live with, but I'm not taking anything that makes me more hungry. I have enough problems in that area already.
