I am taking Proscar (finasteride) in its non-prescribed use as a hair loss drug. After taking it for 6 months, I have seen an effective stop to my hair loss, and an increase in the density of my hair in the front. New vellous (small/white) hairs are popping up around my scalp, and some of them continue to darken. I have been having a difficult 2 months of seasonal allergy problems that has left me with a nasty & wicked cough from irritated bronchial tubes. This was the first time I tried Mucinex DM and I have had only 1 pill since starting it last night. First of all I slept through last night without waking up once, and today my cough has been reduced by at least 90%. Now that is a great product!
