Unfortunately, I have had a real problem with hormonal birth control. I'm currently taking Microgestin, and while I'm kind of miserable on it, it's not as bad as what I experienced with Ortho. My only real complaint is that I have developed contact lens intolerance, and get red, gritty, painful eyes every time I wear my lenses for more than one day at a time. I haven't started Valdoxan, yet. I read your comments and I'm really concerned about the back aches. I suffer from back aches (more like AGONY) without any help form meds. My back aches are psychosomatic, no pain killer helps. I'm going to try this. I've been on just about every antidepressant on the market, except for a couple. Only the first one worked and only for 7 years.

At first, the medication caused nausea, so the doctors reduced the prescribed dosage for me and since the dosage was decreased, nausea also decreased and went away. Prominent side effects included constipation and weakness and there were multiple other mild side effects that went away as the dosage was decreased more.

Every now and then I when I eat something with high sugar content I experience a slight dizziness or imbalance. It last for about 10 seconds to a minute and then goes away...but really freaked me out the first couple of times this happened. I am not sure what determines whether I get dizzy or not. I am just guessing it is with foods with high sugar stimulating my pancreas to shoot out more insulin. My doctor mentioned something about "dumping syndrome" where my overactive insulin re... Has anyone tried going off this nasty drug? I am on day two of weaning down from 300 mgs to 200 mgs daily of Lyrica. Next week I am supposed to go down to just 100 mgs....and the following week should be down to none. My problem is this: I am feeling anxious, easily irritated, have irrational thoughts, and have been driving my poor husband nuts with fits of tears every other hour.
